The PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association) consists of parents, staff and friends of Witheridge CE Primary School. The aim of the PTFA is to encourage closer links between home and school. It organises fundraising events and social functions and, at the same time, provides an opportunity for parents, staff, friends and pupils to get together.
All parents/carers of Pupils at Witheridge along with teachers are automatically members of the PTFA and are welcome to come along to any of our meetings and put their views across.

How is the money spent?

Funds raised by the PTFA are intended to provide ‘extras’ not already provided by the school's main income – often 'fun things' that make learning more interesting and exciting. The PTFA committee and the head teacher decide how to spend PTA funds.
Recent items have included: computers, playground equipment, a school minibus, pantomime trip and smaller purchases such as presents for Father Christmas to distribute, book bags and water bottles.

How is the PTFA organised?

We hold our annual general meeting, in September, at the start of the school year. At this meeting a committee is elected to run the PTFA – our current elected committee is:
Darren Henson
Helen Johnson
Bobbie Leach
to be appointed shortly....
However, we do need more people to join our committee – the more people we have on board the more we can strive for.
Perhaps you have children joining the School in September and have been on the Pre-School committee - why not join us and continue the good work.
