Meet the New School Councillors

The school council is a formal group of pupils within the school who have been elected by their peers to represent them and their views. A school council can provide a meaningful way in which pupils can voice their opinions and have their views taken into account in decisions which impact upon them. It is an important and useful way for us to provide leadership and development opportunities for our children. Their role will involve meeting with their class to discuss ideas about changes and improvements to the school as well as fund raising ideas. These ideas are then raised in the school council meetings and councillors discuss how to move forward. These youngsters have a very important role and one, which I am sure, they will embrace.
