Hours per week: 17.5 hpw (08:45am -12:30pm Monday to Friday Mornings Only) | 5 hpw (12:30-1:30pm Monday – Friday)

Starting Salary: £12.81 per hour (pending pay award £13.48) | £11.60 (pending pay award £12.27)

Witheridge C of E Academy is a wonderful primary school situated in the beautiful North Devon countryside near Tiverton. They are a caring and happy school with a passion for children's learning and well-being. As a small school they are able to personalise the learning every child receives and offer an enriching curriculum. Witheridge C of E Academy currently has just over 100 pupils who are inspired by high quality teaching coupled with excellent facilities.

The appointed persons will work in close partnership with the relevant class teachers and will help to support pupils to engage with their learning. In addition, they will provide classroom cover during teacher absence and PPA sessions.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate who will be enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated to prepare and deliver lessons to individuals, groups and whole classes and has relevant qualifications or the desire to do so.
In-service training will be provided where appropriate.
In addition to the Cover Supervisor hours, there are 5 further hours available worked over 5 lunchtimes per week (12:30pm – 13:30pm per day) as a Mealtime Assistant at Grade A (£11.60 per hour). The post holder will engage with pupils during the lunch time break to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for them.
