Reception Class - Autumn Walk
Reception Autumn Walk
"There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing" so with the Minibus windscreen wipers firmly on, but the children well equipped in their waterproofs, we maintained our optimism on Monday morning, as Reception Class headed down to Yeo Copse Woods for our Autumn Walk. Undeterred, the children's enthusiasm quickly overcame the damp, the rain stopped and we had a wonderful time searching for and collecting signs of Autumn.
Although the animals who live in the Woodland habitat remained elusive to us, we were excited to find evidence of their presence. At school this week, we have been discovering that it is difficult to see these woodland animals because some are nocturnal and some have begun hibernating. The children are feeling rightfully proud of their superb behaviour throughout what was their very first whole class school outing. Well done Reception!
Myself and the children would like to thank our parent helper Emma for accompanying us on the walk, without whom it would not have been possible.
Thank You.
