Witheridge Farm School
Farm School at Essebeare, Witheridge
This week another group of pupils visited Essebeare Farm to visit Farmer Ollie. We continued with the tree project, planting another area of his farm.
The pupils, despite the cold weather, worked tremendously hard, and we were successful in planting 62 saplings all staked and with protective sleeves. Congratulations Class 3.
Every tree planted makes a difference for wildlife and people. Trees combat climate change, give shade, shelter and habitat for birds and insects, they boost your wellbeing and improve the soil - as well as looking beautiful of course!
We planted Alder, Hazel, Rowan, Hornbeam, and English Oak saplings
